Plot

The game takes place in a metropolis where society is divided into two camps: the elite, who rule the city through a huge corporation, and ordinary citizens who are struggling to survive. The company has usurped the law enforcement system by introducing a new technology – bracelets. They are attached to the wrists of suspects and turn them into controlled puppets.

Goal and Objectives

The protagonist of CUFFBUST, a former detective, himself falls into this system when he is framed for a crime he did not commit. Now he must not only escape from the hunters, but also find a way to destroy this technology that is consuming humanity.

Resistance and Conflict

Gradually, the protagonist of CUFFBUST learns that the development of the bracelets began after a tragedy connected with his past. His old partner worked there and was involved in their creation. Now he has become the main driving force of the corporation and its face. The final missions lead the guy to a meeting with his competitor.

The second one explains that the system is not just a means of suppression, but an attempt to create an “ideal society” where crime is no longer possible. The only question is the price of this utopia. There are three endings to this game, and each one depends on the decisions you make. What do you think is more important – security or freedom?
