Description

The protagonist of the game is Theo Harper, a 28-year-old musician who suffers from chronic insomnia. After several nights without sleep, he seeks help at an experimental clinic. There he is offered a unique treatment – a neural implant that immerses a person in a deep sleep, restoring energy and helping to cope with anxiety.

First Problems

The first few nights go well: Theo sees vivid dreams filled with calm. However, he soon begins to notice oddities. They become more and more disturbing, and frightening figures begin to appear in them. One of them is a tall silhouette with empty eyes that says, “You forgot me.” Also in While Sleeping, he sees locations that look like distorted versions of his past:

Mysterious Voice

The hero of the game begins to hear a whisper that accompanies him almost every second. It belongs to a stranger named Eliza, who claims that she was part of his life, but he erased her from his memory. Exploring his dreams and trying to figure out who this girl is, Theo begins to suspect that the clinic is hiding something sinister. He finds files of other patients who have gone missing, and realizes that the implant does not just cure insomnia – it changes the perception of reality in While Sleeping.
